Seeking a description to match a Magnavox model number

My wife acquired an empty cabinet at an estate sale and the design has me curious as to what it housed when it was made.

There is a manufacturers sticker inside the cabinet which gives the following information.

Magnavox model S82
Style S229 21
serial number 1455018
230 watts
117 volts

Any information would be appreciated. A picture would be excellent.

Thank you for indulging my curiosity.

Considering the Watts you said it was rated for, I am highly positive it had tubes instead of transistors.

I have 2 60's transistorized models that consume only about 15 to 20 watts with the record player on. radio consumes 5 give or take.

I also have a modern stereo that consumes around 15 watts when OFF. I thought modern electronics were made more energy efficiently

I am guessing it is from the 50's but would sure like to have that verified. I failed to mention that there is a small portion of a label showing tubes still inside the cabinet.

Anyone have any educated guesses as to what it was?

Thanks,

Bob
