Seeburg SMC1 Mechanism Manual search

by SignalSal » Fri Apr 22, 2016 12:09 am

I'm looking for a manual for the mechanism used in a Seeburg SMC 1. If anyone could point me to where I might be able to download I would appreciate it greatly. My new Gen 2 MCU is due to be delivered in a few days but the mechanism is pretty dirty and I would like to know what I'm cleaning and how it all works as I go.
Thanks in advance for any help

-Mike

Hi Mike,
Thanks for purchasing the new Gen 2 MCU--it's here in front of me now--holding it for mailing tomorrow, as you requested.
SMC mechanism is the same as all others, with a few less parts. Mechanically it is identical to the prior mechs used in the MicroLog phonos.
Electrically, it differs somewhat in the switch functions to comply with the MCU system. You will need the "Technical Manual" for this electrical schematics--
I do not recommend "on line" manuals--usually, poor copies of bootleg manuals are provided there--best to go (IMHO) with one of the suppliers listed above in this jukebox section. I suggest you purchase the "Service Manual PACKAGE", so you get it all-- Ron Rich
