Hello,
I am working on resurrecting an LS1 that I picked up last week for $50. It sat for at least 10 years without operating according to the previous owner. I've gotten it to work/play nicely, but sometimes the safety plunger hangs, it just doesn't move fast enough all of the time. This spring is mangled and stretched out for whatever reason, it likes to "bind up on itself" when compressed, and I'd like to replace it. Does anyone know the uncompressed length of this spring?
I'm planning on ordering a few different sizes from Grainger, I can guess/get close at the necessary length, but thought I'd ask before ordering just to see if anyone has a recommendation.
On a different note, this LS1 machine shows, 51,000+ plays on the meter. Is this a high number? The other machines I have both show less than 25,000, but maybe this is because the meter has rolled over, much like old mechanical 5 place car odometers? Any comments on what a "high number of plays" is for jukeboxes in general?
Thank you.
Bill
