Help

I have recently purchased a Wurlitzer 1015 one more time 50 cd jukebox.
Actually just got it last night. I plugged it in, and it just kept on picking up th cd put on the player, and then went back to cd holder, over and over. I was doing some research last night, when I noticed the K, and Z digital lights on the selection, and credit computer were not on. The digital number light on far right stays on 8 blinking, and the far left digital light is on 8 blinking, but very dim. I checked the main fuses si5, and si6 with the ohm meter they are showing good, while in there checked the other ones, and they were also good. I am new at this, but willing to work on it due no one in my area works on this type of unit.

Any help would deeply be appreciated.

Sometimes an 8 means that you have a cracked K7 Micro Switch.

On your Selection & credit Computer pull the bottom/lower left-most plug out.... Its the one that has the Blue/Purple sticker to the right of it.

Then pull out a jumper wire off the Selection & Credit Computer, I use jumper wire BS that is usually attached to 0 and 7.

You will use that jumper wire that you just pulled out to insert it into the plug ends of the plug that you just pulled out.

Using the Jumper wire that you just pulled out, insert one end of the jumper wire into the plug directly under the green wires that are entering the plug and then take the other end of the jumper wire and "momentarily" touch the plug section where the blue wire enters it,

The motor should start to select a record/cd and proceed to play it etc…. Or put a record/cd back into the carousel if being in play mode was the last action before the K7 switch failed.

If either of these actions happen, most likely your K7 Actuator Switch has a tiny crack in it and it needs to be replaced.

Note: by performing this jumper wire test, You should be able to get the Juke to play a record/Cd and hear it for the first time.

Faster-"down/dirty" repair--if the switch actuator is cracked--
Go to the store and purchase "crazy glue GEL". Come home, slide actuator closer to you, put one drop of glue on metal rod---slide actuator back so it can actuate the switch plunger, slide it down to where you hear the switch "click--then SLIGHTLY more. Wait, however long that glue takes to dry, and forget that you had that problem-- Ron Rich

Is the Service Switch in the Off position?

What happens exactly... When you momentarily trip the blue and green wires on the plug?

Hey Jeff just got back on the computer, and was doing some more research, I tried the k8 switch, one site said it maybe the culprit. Jumped the green to the grey I got nothing ,was suppose to do something, and it seems that it does not work. I ohm the switch, and I pushed the button in and I got nothing.

I just did what you said with the service switch on, or off, because when I first checked it a few days ago I could not remember where it was, but it still just wants to go from picking up the cd putting it on the turntable, and back to the carousel repeatedly. What do you think on the K8 switch could it be the culprit, because I really don't know what it does.

Hi Bob.. I am not sure.... I never had a K8 go bad on me.. Hopefully someone else can chime in on that one

Great news today, made exactly 1month since we received the Wurlitzer. I found some one on my end that came out yesterday, and he found the problem. Here goes, I hope I can explain this correctly. The culprit was the grey line from M3 to pole 4 of blue plug, it had come unsoldered from one side of the K6 switch, I guess from the improper packing of the jukebox during the move. You know I checked the switch a couple of times with my meter which was working, but I never notice the wire unsoldered, as a matter of fact the tech did the same thing. He then went back, and that is when he found the wire it looked connected, but when the wire broke it went inside the casing. Live, and learn. So now the wife, and I are now enjoying the wonderful music this box plays. Once again I can't thank you, and Ron for all of the help you have given me. I have learned a lot. I'll stay in touch

Hi Ron, I finally have some good news, the box is finally working. I found someone on my end that would take a look at it. The culprit was the grey line from M3 to pole of plug blue. The wire had come unsoldered from one side of the K6 switch. You know when I was trouble shooting I checked that switch a couple of times which the switch did work, but the wire was not ha ha!. Today made exactly one month we had received the box, but now the wife, and I are enjoying the beautiful music of this box. I want to thank you again for all of the advice you have given me, I have learned a lot. I will stay in touch.
