Rowe CD100c display module issues

Hello all, you all were kind enough to help me thru some glitches when I first got the jukebox but need some help again. The jukebox was not being used for a few months during construction and today I went to turn it on and ran into some issues with the display module. It is not working!!!
The entire jukebox seems to be functioning fine, Songs play, I can select songs, put coins in etc, but no display. The LED on the back of the computer board of the I have a little under 9 DC volts at the black and brown wires the feed the display.
So has the display module gone bad? I am little concerned since the LED on it is out that perhaps it is not getting power. I am not sure if I am reading the voltage across the right wires. Is there another way to test the display? The manual isn't much help. Any other thoughts or suggestions? Anyone has a good (cheap) source for another display module if that is truly bad? I do not mind replacing it but I would love to know that it is truly the problem before I switch it out!!!!
As always thanks Ike

Ike,
They had some "problems" with the design of that module--- which version is in that phono ? ( CAUTION: in case you have not yet found out--removing that module leaves un-supported glass to fall down and "go booo000000000000mmmmmmmm" !! )

Thanks for thr response. Lucky for me that glass came off with the display. These jukeboxes seem to be assembled so complicatedly.
I looked around the placards but cannot figure out what version jukebox it is other than a Rowe CD100C. Is there a place to look for its version? Any thoughts? Thanks
Ike

This site has descriptions and photos of most models, don't know if this helps.

Ike,
I need to know what the display is marked-- A 100C is a 100C-- It MAY be ( and should have been) updated--but it is still a C

Sorry Rich for the confusion. The display is maked "DIGITAL DISPLAY ASSY 40855001". Curious if it is original one on the unit. Thanks!!!!!!!

Probably not the original--the C model came with the 03 version(Last two digits of the part number are the "Rev #")
( I MAY be able to repair it--contact me off list for info, if you wish) Ron Rich

Will do thanks for the offer. Any doubt that it is at fault? Is it typical if it fails to looose its LED volt indicator? Trying to understand if its is to blame or something else has gone wrong, like power to it, main computer board wiring etc.. Thanks

The version of the operating system software is shown thru a rectangular cutout hole in the front of the Central Control Computer board. There will be a paper label with the software version printed on it like V3.4 for instance.

Ken, and all,
This is true only if the paper label is there and readable, and only covers the "software" version of the CCC.
There is another "software chip" in many of the other units, that can not bee seen. However "location 88" will read all software versions of all units that provide it, on the display ( ' course in this case, the display is dark, so that's out !) Ron Rich

I guess you are blind without a display. The unit is so heavily tied to the display from a diagnosis point of view to the display.
Thanks again Rich for your expertise and your sharing of it. Ike
