My husband just purchased this old victrola record player. It is about four foot tall and has shelves at the bottom. On the inside of the lid it says Troubadour. It says it was manufactured at Troubadour Talking machine Company Rockford Illinois. I would just like to know more about it. It seems to have all its parts and even plays the records that came with it. Thanks for any help.

Sarah..,
Well You don't have a "Victrola". You do have a Troubadour phonograph though. Can you post some photos? there were literally hundreds of different phonographs manufactured in the early part of the late lamented century. It is a "wind-up" I assume? If you could post a photo of the motor that would help as well. Many off-brand phonos used proprietary motors and parts. A quick Google search got me nothing.
