I am new to the forum and this is he first forum I have ever joined. I have a Seeburg SPS160 that I have owned for many years. Sat un-used for about 10 years buried in the basement. Recently reclaimed my basement and reclaimed my mancave from the 10+ years of my kids stuff getting relocated in the mancave. Went through and cleaned and lubricated the jukebox and it is playing very nicely but have one issue. When I enter the selection number on the keypad, selections 100-179 play fine and selctions 200-229 play fine. 230-279 play minus 1. Example When I turn it on, and do a mechanical start, it scans to the left, then to the right, it does this twice and comes to rest at 277. If I then enter 250 it will scan to the left to 249 and play record 249. Any help on this would be appreciated.

My Guess(s) would be: 1. You do not have a copy of my Seeburg Mechanism Guide, or 2.. if you do, you have failed to read it !
3. I would assume from what you have written, that when you "cleaned, lubricated" the mechanism, you reversed direction of the motor, without first "flipping" the read-out contacts in the opposite direction, thus bending, or deforming, the B side contact. If you have a Service Manual, check the read-out contact block adjustments, AND the Detent switch adjustment, as it may be too tight also--
On the switch that's marked "mech start" and the one marked "mech stop", "mech" stands for Mechanism, not "mechanical"--and two scans are exactly what it should do if the start is slud over, then let go---- If you had a Service Manual Package, it would include the "Installation and Operation Manual (I&0)", which would, if read, convey that, and much more useful info --( read "Announcement" posts above for where to purchase the Manual Package.) Also if you so desire--my Guide is a supplement, to them, and is available directly from me--PM me if you wish to purchase it. Ron Rich
