Rowe AMI MM-2 - What manuals are available?

by Tom K » Fri Feb 17, 2012 12:24 am

Hi,

A friend is contemplating picking up a beautiful, but non working Rowe / AMI MM-2 Juke. He's looking for a project to keep him occupied. I was able to get my USC1 running with the help of Ron Rich, this forum and the manuals both Ron and Tony Miller wrote regarding the mechanism, the black boxes, etc.. along with the juke's manual.

I'd picked up those books from AlwaysJukin.com at Ron's suggestion. I went back there to look up the Rowe juke and they have something there called MM-2 Complete which I assume is the service manual I want. Are there any other "must have" books similar to the ones Ron and Tony wrote for the specific components of the Rowe jukes that will help us troubleshoot what may be wrong with it (which at current is unknown)

Appreciate any guidance.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,
Glad you got the Seeburg going-- I know of nothing more for the Rowe machines--other then "Dr know-it-all's" books that AJ sells--

Hi Tom,

The 1968 Rowe Ami MM-2 (Music Master) jukebox featured the "Change-A-Scene front panel similar to that on the MM-1.
The MM-2 would have orginally had a 35mm slide projector (called Rowe View) incorporated into the top section of the jukebox and projected onto a panel set into the middle of the jukebox between the mid/high range speakers. The projector would change the eight slides every 15 seconds. Another feature on this jukebox was the air burgler alarm on the cash box door.

Please keep us up to date with how your mate gets on with this rebuild.

I'm the friend Tom was talking about. The seller finally got back to me and I think for $100 US I should run to get this.
