Rowe Ami CD-100 “Wireless Remote Control” and “Random Play F

Hi,

I would like to add a “Wireless Remote Control” with “Selection Input” capabilities to my Antique Apparatus Gazelle CD Bubbler (maybe 1989). This is one of the earlier boxes that contains all Rowe AMI guts (CD-100).

I know that CDAdapter has a remote that has volume up and down as well as mute and cancel features but I’d really like to have selection input as well.

From what I have read, there was a Wireless Infrared Remote Control Kit 21957502 available at one time for CD-100’s but I can no longer find anyone who has it. I am also not 100 percent sure that it will work on my Jukebox either.

In addition, I would really love a “Random Play Feature” on this Jukebox. I have a Random Play Feature on my 1989 Wurlitzer 45 OMT as well as my 2004 Rockola 1015 Bubbler whereas I either flip a switch or hit a button and the jukebox(s) randomly select a CD or 45, play a song, put the CD or 45 back in the magazine and then select another CD or 45 continuously until I either hit the switch or hit the button again.

I am aware of a Background Music Volume Control Kit 21639701 But I am not exactly sure if this kit is what I am looking for. The main reason I say that is that we enjoy having the Jukebox lit with all the bubblers bubbling without actually playing music and I think this kit does not have an on/off button which would require me to open it up and pull wires or plug in wires when we do not want Random Play on and just want normal Selection Ability or when we just want the lights and bubblers on with no music.

Will this Remote kit fit my application? Does anyone have one for sale?

Can the Background kit be easily turned on and off?

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Jeff P.

Jeff,
If you contact your nearest Rowe distributor, I am almost positive you can still purchase the wireless volume/selection kits--simple installation.
You already have the "random play feature"--just need to turn it on, and set time--see the Rowe service manual set-up instructions.

Just an Update...

I ordered all the components found in the Wireless Infrared Remote Control Kit 21957502 from Karl at Columbus Coin-Op Shop www.columbuscoinopshop.com

I also managed to get Random play to work by playing with Autoplay STD and then setting times from 00:00:00 to 23:59:00 For Sunday thru Monday….
