Need Help Troubleshooting Magnavox Stereophonic 1961

Hi everyone! So I bought this Stereophonic in amazing shape. It actually plays radio great and the beginning of records sound great as well. However, part way through a record it will slow and begin to distort the sound or stop altogether. I have taken the needle to be looked at that is in fine shape, I have also followed directions to take of the rubber turntable and clean the disk that spins, also checked to make sure the motor spins freely. Everything checks out. Any thoughts? Or if not does anyone know of a repair service in the Detroit area I cannot find one. Thank you!!
