Rowe cd-100 Jukebox

by tvmaster1 » Sun Mar 24, 2013 5:18 am

Any one have any pictures of the inner cabinet of the modules this unit needs to be functional , i believe it is missing something on the left side wall there are holes that appear to have had some thing mounted there and there is a power plug with a three pin connector, and others that look like connectors that plug into like speakers.

i purchase this unit a auction on line and they stated it worked but when i power on it goes thru check sum and passed and then message on display i can not remember exactly. but it does not say anything about a error.
on the central control module the rowelink command led appears to be blinking, system error led not lit,and only led that is on solid is the bottom one.

but when i place the service switch to service mode message appears error exist

i can also here the bill validator purging a little but never cycles.

thank you
tony

It all depends on which CD100 box you have. They are lettered from A-K. Everything you need to know is in the manual. Not all plugs will be used from time to time, depending on the unit you have. Look in the manual, there is a layout of components in there. Then you will know what you are missing.

Once you read the manual to fully understand the operation of your new purchase, it will make things more clear. The manual also describes how to read the error codes that are coming up while in the service mode. Check out the manual and let us know what you come up with as far as codes. The codes will directly lead you to what is missing, or malfunctioning.

Everytime I sell a unit I ALWAYS tell them to read the manual.

The manual is available from places listed above in "announcement section--used--new books--where to find--"
I would advise you to purchase a service manual for an A, or B, model--the 100 CD model with no letter after it was the very first one made, and the service manual is very poor. The CD-100A, and CD-100B, models are virtually the same, except for cabinet colors, and the manuals are vastly improved.

Sorry i was using the info that i recieved from the austion stating that my juke box was a cd-100 no letter after

but as i went into my storage i looked at the model number and it is a cd-100E

how do you find the error code for this unit all i get when i go into the service mode is "errors exist"
and then it displays a (0) and then play music .

when i put a dollar into the bill validator it accepts them and then i try to select and it says something like not enough money or i think some thing like that.

as i left it running to work on another unit i notice that the wheel selector stated to work and pulled a cd out and place it on the cd mech. spun and then reject it and then tried to play with no cd.

and then nothing again.

Please help just learning with this one.

You need to purchase, and read the service manual--there is no way it can all be posted here.
Sorry, Ron Rich
