rockola parts / different models

Hello all,
After seeing what works well and what doesn't or is missing on my ro 429, I began looking for parts online for replacement or spares. The problem is that I can't always find one from my specific model. For example, I may find a turntable assembly for a 427 or 432, but not a 429. So my questions are as follows:
Do most manufacturers commonly use comparable parts along models from the same era?
Is there a guide somewhere that lays out which part goes in each model (I don't have a parts catalog for mine)?
Can parts be modified to work if I were to purchase an inexact match?

Hi Ed,
You can purchase a parts book, and parts from one, or more of the"legitimate" sellers listed above. These guy's specialize in knowing what parts fit, where, in most cases, and most of them will allow you to return anything that is not correct. If you buy off the "internet", it's usually
someone parting out one phono, and many times not even knowing if the part he is selling is correct for that model. MANY of the things listed there, make me wonder if the seller is just "making things up"---see the thread here: more amusing eBay hopefuls
Yes, Like auto factories, jukebox makers tended to re-issue parts, over and over--sometimes with minor (color?) changes, but with part number changes, and other times totally different--and hopefully another part number.
As far as I know, there are no published "guides"--that's why you need to axk the supplier, what his return policy is---

Thanks for the reply Ron. I don't see the link I assume you posted. Perhaps I should actually try on a PC instead of a phone! Anyway, to be more exact, I am looking for a tone arm, cartridge, and needle for my RO 429. I can find exact replacements for the last two but the arm and the wire that goes to the amp is what I'm having trouble locating. Mine is cut. I thought about attempting a splice but figured a new one would be better.

Ed,
To find the sellers, go to "Home", then to"Jukeboxes", and scroll down 6 topics--"New-used parts--where to find"
