Rowe CD 100 Problem

Hey there, I just purchased an Rowe AMI CD100 for a great price, it fires up and initializes no problem. However what it is doing is that when the control arm places the cd on the carousel it usually doesn't grab? or may be misaligned? Usually spits the disc off the carousel or gets it caught under the part that comes down. I'd say it does that out of 10 discs maybe only 3 would load properly. Any ideas or suggestions?. Oh and this Box is from my landlords pub they owned and has been in stored for about 3 years, worked fine before that so maybe something shifted in move?

I have no idea bud :( this is all new to me. Trying to find a local repair guy here in Nelson but i doubt that will happen cause it's such a small town. Not sure what else to do or how to even identify parts

the swing arm or whatever it's called has no problem grabbing the disc and lowering it but it almost seems like it lets go a milli second before the cover comes down over the carousel

Did you get any manuals with it?

Hi Nelson,

Welcome to the forum.

Is the holddown magnet (30930402) commonly called the holddown hub in place on the holdown plate assembly?
The hold down cam activates the plate, if this is not adjusted correctly the timing will be out.
If you have not got a manual you will not be able to set up the jukebox or be able to talk to us in something we can understand.

Regards
Alan

Yup all the is in place, think i figured out the problem. The cd player is already spinning when the arm brings the disc down which is causing it to spin the disc off, instead of the arm placing the disc down first and waiting for cover to come down THEN start spinning. CD player spins as soon as you turn power on. Now to figure out how to fix the damn thing
