Timo,
Easy to tell, if no longer "marked"--Is there a "MicroSwitch", with a Loooooonge lever in the SPU. or is there a set of long blades, with a .01/1400 cap (hopefully ), soldered across the connectors ? MicroSwitch type is code A--which was pretty much a failure, and recalled to be converted to the blade type switch--Ron Rich

Timo,
Yes-sir--that's good news !
OK -- If you have not removed the cover on the SPU--do so, and watch it operate as a selection is being made. You will note the motor turning which operates a metal arm on top of the round white gears. This arm should strike a plastic arm, causing the attached ratchet to advance thru both "notches". If this is only advancing one notch, you will need to figure out why, and fix it--If it's advancing two notches, the motor on the jukebox should be turned on and the selection played. At the end of the selection when the mechanism scans to the right and reverses, the subtract coil in the SPU should be energized that allows the ratchet to step ONE notch. The (long) motor control switch (power) should still be in the made position, and should REMAIN so, until AFTER, the the subtract coil has energized and relaxed, for the 2nd time. Be100% sure the .01/1400 volt cap is connected to that switch ! Ron Rich

Hi Ron,
I already had it open last week and removed it for general check, cleaning and so on.
Many thanks for the help.
Hopefully my wife will give me some time this evening to check that ;-p
Greetings, Timo

Hi Timo,
Ah, yes--"wives"--they are the same all over the world ! As the old saying goes--"Can't live with them, or without them" !
As of this week--my wife and I have made it 34 years--would not trade that for anything !! Ron Rich

Hi Ron,
yess, that is 100% the truth

Congrats, that is a very long time, you both should be very proud of it, especially nowadays!
With you explanation it was very easy to chase for the root cause:
The metal arm simply did not move far enough and thus not advance the ratchet both notches.
This was an easy fix, because the motor is assembled to the base plate via two slotted holes that allow adjusting the maximum stroke of the metal arm.
So I moved the motor a little bit more in direction to the ratchet and that's it.
Working perfect now and only took me 15minutes to fix that.
The blade type switch is in good condition, not burnt contact plates, as the cap is these and in a very good shape

Thank you so much for your kind help,
Timo
