Restoring rockola 1426

by Raven65 » Sun Mar 13, 2011 10:54 pm

Jukebox has not been plugged in. It's still in
As found condition. All parts seem present except
For cylinder motors. I plan on replacing power
Cord which needs it. After that?..should I do the
Dim bulb test and start checking power distribution
Assembly? Should I make a mechanism jig and
Take the complete guts out of this thing, to help
With access, cleaning, etc.? I realize these are very
Basic questions. Would love insight from you guys
That have been there done that! I do have service
Manual!

Many thanks, Raven

This is a rockola 1426

Raven,
I would first check ALL fuses for the proper size/type--If you find one or more that is larger then called for, install the correct one--If you find one that's "blown"--install a size smaller ! Should you find one that's oversize and blown---look for the short in that circuit prior to doing anything else--
Then use the lamp test--
