Executone 301

by Thom » Sun May 30, 2010 2:21 pm

I am planning on restoring an Executone Model 301 (?) intercom but I am having trouble finding a schematic for it. The e-caps are not marked well at all and my capacitance readings are off the scale so I can't deduce what they are. Any schematics out there for this? I tried NostalgiaAir and a couple of searches but no good. Thanks.

My model is very similar to this.

Remember that a capacitance meter is designed to work when the capacitor is not connected to anything else.

Yeah, I allowed for that. I get a slow build up in mfd then snaps to infinity. Also, the one Can-cap has the mfds marked but no color code or markings for the wires exiting the bottom of the can indicating which wire is which, and the square can has no mfd markings at all. I have to correct the model number: It is actually Model 332-M. Thank you.

Hello, I realize it has been 4 years since you made this post but I was wondering how your restoration went and if you ever found a schematic?

I just purchased one of these and will do a restoration in the future.

Thanks,

Mark

I actually sat it aside in favor of other restorations but I haven't given up on it. Not much I can tell you. I'm sure I'll be flying blind when I take it up again.
