Seeburg STD 2,3,4 flashing lights

by jukeboxrobert » Sun Aug 17, 2014 2:07 pm

I am working on a Seeburg STD4. I replaced all the bulbs in lid and door. So now they all work, but only one set flashes, the rest stay lit all the time. I looked at the sequencer to check transistors and resistors. The trouble is the resistors have been so warm I can't read the colors and I can't find a schematic in my manual. Does anyone have a schematic or a good idea as to where my problem is?

Robert,
Which "Resistors"?
The schematic for that unit is in the "Accessory Manual", which should have been part of the Manual Package,if purchased from a "legit source"-- Ron Rich

It's the 1 watt resistors.
I don't know how legit original Seeburg manuals are or how many different ones there are, but I have an original 81-457044 accessory parts catalog and I don,t find it in there. I also have the 81-459079 service manual. Also have the installation & operation manual. I must be missing a manual or some pages are missing. I never have been accused of having very good vision so I suppose I could be overlooking it.
All I want is a copy of schematic or tell me which manual I need and I'll buy one.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Robert,
I found it--was not the Accessory manual but it is in the "Electronic Parts Cat. issue 2"(#319370), or newer--
There are NO 1 watt resistors listed. You are probably looking at the 2 w ww's which are 68, ohms, or the 2w carbons, which are 22 ohms.
HINT: If the diode used on that board ( or any Seeburg, anywhere), has a brown colored band, change it !! (1N4004). Ron Rich
