Seeburg AY160 scans twice and stops.

On my AY160 if I unplug the universal pricing unit and the wire from the selection buttons to the universal pricing unit and the coin mech wire from pricing unit. Turn it off and plug everything back in. Insert a coin and I can make selection and the machine works great. Once the mech finishing playing all selections and goes to rest position and I insert another coin it will scan twice and stop without picking up any selections. Any clue where to start with the troubleshooting. If I unplug everything again and power off it will work again until mech stops.

The insulator portion of the "k" contact is dirty--or the electronics in the TSU are failing--

Thanks that definitely helped a little. All the contacts are clean in the pricing unit and it seems to be working better. Although it will randomly pick up records s8 and u8 when they were never selected.

That's usually caused by a poor, or lack of a ground connection on the contact block (aka "frog") that rides under the TMU-- Ron Rich
