How to do mech work without Selector Receiver?

Hi,

I bought a complete M100BL partially disassembled for restoring.
I want to put it in working order before start the external restoration.
I already have the service manual and I bought today the Ron Rich's Seeburg mech book, I will have it in a few days.
I saw a video in youtube of a M100BL working without the selector receiver.

I want to connected it in this way to start with the mech and check if it is working.
Then i will clean it, lube it and adjust it.

Checking the service manual I realize than connecting the pin 10 and pin 8 of the S7 mech plug directly to 110v, the motor must be work like the youtube video.

Is it correct?
May I broke something?

Claudio, yes you can connect it that way. That is how I set them up when replacing a clutch or building up a mechanism from junk parts -but only as a last step.

When it comes to adjustments and preliminary setup it is best to do these only while turning the motor shaft by hand. It is possible to misadjust a few areas, particularly the clutch and cause damaging binds if the motor is powered. "Finger power" is much more sensitive to these situations.

The mech works, but there are a estrange jump and a break at the right end.

Claudio,
HALT--do NOT operate that phono under power, until you repair it ! The motor wires are getting under the carriage. Someone changed the motor and left them too long. If you run it like that they will fray, and short out--very dangerous !! Also, fix the broken clamp on the mechanism cable prior to operating it any more.

H Claudio,
That won't be in any "book"--just look at the 4 wires coming out of the bottom of the motor--
"tie the up" so the don't bind near the end of the track--
