Got this clock, radio, phono counsel from a lady who's last husband bought it. She did not know much about it and I can't seem to find much on the unit myself. Was wondering if anyone does? The unit is aprox. 5' h 2' w at base. The unit has a removable wood/brass face ornate electric clock # CL-001/002, a built in slide rule stereo behind a wood door, a drop down phono player that hold 8 records, and 2 Porta-Fi speakers. The unite all closed up looks like a Grandfather clock.

Some manufacturers got into producing "novelty" consoles in the 50's, 60's & 70's - mainly for a certain market "nitch".
Guild made odd pieces like their Granofonola...
Magnavox made a "pedastal" stereo with radio & 8 track...
I suppose some people would buy those things for whatever reason.
It's all a matter of decor and taste, or lack thereof.
