Coloured Furniture Reviver?

I have purchased several cabinet gramophones that appear to have been treated with sort of tinted furniture reviver. The machines have a distinctive smell, and my cleaning cloth turns reddish brown when I wax them. I know in the US, some collectors use a product called Howard Restore a Finish. Is there a comparable product sold in Britain that is widely used?
