What's The Best Way To Clean Old 45's

I have a jukebox full of 45's from the 70's that haven't been played in 10 years. They are full of dust and some have little bits of what looks like mold on them. If you play one the needle gets a little balls of dust o it after each record. Whats the best way to clean em.

Thanks! :D

Warm water with a bit of dish detergent - with a soft cloth - going in a circular motion around the grooves only - NOT getting the label portion wet.
You want to work it into the tiny grooves to dislodge any debris.
Rinse with fresh warm water to remove any soap residue, again not wetting the label....
Then towel dry gently.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

I agree with Matt on this--however I have found that a VERY soft brush, makes it an easier/faster job, and is less likely to "scratch". -- I also use a liquid (automatic) dishwasher detergent. Ron Rich
