rca vfe 01

just got an rca small stereo console model # vfe01 and was curious of the date? my guess is between 1960-1963 at the latest?
anyone have any info on it? i find nothing anywhere

On RCA's of this era...If it has the original record changer in it, pull the back off and look on the underneath of the record changer and there will be a date stamped on it.

thanks tony

i tried to find # when i opened it up to lube etc but found none? there are a few # on the cabinet and the amp that lead me to believe its 1962.
i believe the changer is rp211 which came out in 1960(i think?) odd that there were no # on the changer itself? unless they got wiped off somehow?

Sometimes a manufactured date is stamped on the motor windings paper cover.... check that.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.
