The moving part of this switch is totally smoked and in pieces. Any chance of a replacement for the entire assembly, repair, or reengineering? Thanks

It would be my guess that any good electronics store would stock it ? Or, if you have the parts book, find the part number and try Victory Glass, as they stock many RO parts, by NUMBER only.
If you add a photo, someone may have a more definite answer.

Pics are in photobucket, but can't get them to show up here. EDIT: ok, click on the icon and select open in new tab and the images show up. Manual has no part number, block diagram shows the power switch assembly only as "corcom". The unit is the size of a cigarette pack, contains a fuse (two fuses if 230V), a resistor,a wirewound resistor, and the actual power switch. Number on the assembly is PS0SXSSX0 Looks like it came out of the space shuttle, so doubt if one would find it anywhere but a used parts warehouse.

1. The icon does not show up--can you post a link ?
2. Did you try VG, or any of the used parts sellers listed above ?

Haven't had a chance to call VG and could look through their parts forever without a part number. Have checked several websites for parts with no luck. Here's the photobucket link. There's no icon below the text of my last post?? It shows up on my other computer.

Google is your friend. I punched in your assembly number and got all kinds of hits for that exact part. Digi-Key is probably the easiest outfit to deal with. They have 52 of them in stock. $23.76 plus shipping/hassling.

Thanks a bunch, Jim. Dammit, I searched that part number on two different browsers at home, both of which have Google as default search, and nothing like it ever showed up. Now I run it at work and Digikey is the first thing that pops up. Appreciate the help.
