Hi I need help

I start from the beginning.
I bought an used Rowe CD 100, I turn on the machine and I read the Error history, Err 05-56, Err 05-58 and Err 05-62.
I reset the errors and I turn off the juke, I turn on the Juke and I Insert the money and select a cd, the Juke start to sing and after almost 40 sec. the CD continue to rotate but no anymore sound and the Error 05-62 appear. I reset the Error and do it again and it happen always at the same way. The others 2 errors that I found in the history when I bought never occur to me.
Please can you give me some clue what can be?
Max

Max,
It is usually a power connector failure causing that--
What needs to be done is "reform" ALL "POWER" connectors starting at the power supply transformer, and going all the way thru the CCC, and the MCC.
Which player is installed in that unit ? Which CCC and version # is installed, and which MCC version number are you using ?

Thank you Ron for your reply, I try to answer to your question.
the cd player is CDM-3, the CCC number is 40832201 version 22 the Mechanism Control number is 61030702 (I don't know how to find the MCC version).
I want to add to my previous post that the CD when is moving you can hear a sound like the motor it doesn't perform correctly and after a while that the cd go forward is going for a few second backward. I don't know if can be useful this information.

Hi Max,
You have a very early unit there ( see the service manual to determine which version MCC you have)--you can try cleaning the lens on the player--be sure to do it as described in the Service Manual ONLY. There were many "mods" to the CCC that are probably not on your unit, as well as several to the MCC, that are probably missing. --plus three later players--
I would guess from what you have stated that the player is about shot--if cleaning the lens does not help-- Ron Rich

The CDM3 and CDM4 are totally incompatible. They use different mechanism control boards and wiring.

Max,
Yes--and no--To do so requires changing the MCC, and the "framing" that holds the CDM player. Rowe did not supply a "kit" to do so, as the CDM 3's were repairable, for longer that the CDM-4 was used--A kit was supplied to upgrade the 3's and 4's to 12's/pro's. Ron Rich

Max,
Cheapest ?
Who knows--I don't have a crystal ball--BEST, IMHO, is to find an update to "Pro" kit.

Ron,
I would like to know if I can update to the Pro player and what I need to buy... a player or also the MCC.
Thanks

Max,
You need the "whole kit" to update --it consists of a new (PRO) player, new metal mounting area for the new player, new gear/arm, new power supply board, new MCC.
IMHO, you also need the update the "hardware" and "software" in the CCC ( I can do this).

Hi Ron,
Thank you for the reply,
Just an update

I am trying to see on internet for the all pro kit, I saw also that I can repair my actual cd player. At the same time I try to clean the lens and I left the juke box turn on and new error appear, Warning 14-04. I tried to reset the CCC to the factory default and the Warning appear again.

Max,
I would be very careful on CDM-3 repairs, as parts have not been produced for them in over 20 years--
As for the 14-01 warning--please read the service manual--that's "normal"--
