Seeburg Discotheque PFEAIU - Fleetwood Tormat

by SRodas » Tue Sep 06, 2016 5:24 pm

The RED Tormat unit (J3016) of the Solid State Control Center (Type SCC4 ) of my 1965 Seeburg Discotheque PFEAIU seems to be broken. If the red RCA (?) type plug is plugged into the red jack side A of a record will play, but when side B is selected, it will automatically play side B.
If the blue RCA (?) type plug is plugged into the red jack side B of a record will play, but when side A is selected, it will automatically play side A.
HELP!
I've had the unit for about a month or so.
Thanks-
Scott

Hi Scott,
Well, number one--there is no such Seeburg model as a "Seeburg Discotheque PFEA1U Fleetwood" .
A PFEA1U ( or PFEAU-1), is an "Electra" model. The "Fleetwood" is an APFEA-1, model--BIG difference in operation--cabinets are almost the same.
Do you have a Service Manual Package--which includes the Installation&Operation manual ? ? If not, see above for info on where to purchase. Do you have the "album/singles" jumpers, set correctly ?
What is the CODE letter designation, on the SCC-4 Ron Rich

My mistake. It is the APFEA-1 model. Where can I locate the album/singles jumpers?
What do you mean by "see above" for info on getting a manual? Can you be more specific/
Thank you for your time and help. I'm new at owning a jukebox. Obviously.

Hi Scott,
Those jumpers are located under the cover on the service switch--
Manual suppliers are listed in this (jukebox) section above this post--please read ALL of the "Announcements/stickies" posted. To read them go to "jukeboxes" and scroll down.
If you expect an answer to your post, you need to answer any question asked of you--?? ( like "what is the code letter of the SCC4 you have" ?)

Hey!
The SCC4 is a code A.
I'm sorry if I don't answer in a timely or complete way. Like I said, I'm new to jukeboxes and only have some time (sadly) to devote to the hobby.
I really appreciate anyone's expertise and responses.
As it turns out, the control center is completely burned out. It's not working at all. I know it's the control center, because I tried another control center that only has SOME problems- and the until lit - but kept playing the same 45 and same side at a weird speed.

SO ANYWAY-
If anyone has or know where I can get a working SCC4, or a place where I can ship one (or both) units to be repaired, I would certainly appreciate it.
As you know, the Fleetwood weighs like 375 lbs and I don't have the ability to move or ship the whole unit out.
Thanks again for any help / guidance.
