Rockola 470 turntable no longer spins

hello all,

we just bought this jukebox and of course at the sellers home, it worked perfectly. once we had it moved to our house by professional movers, the turntable no longer rotates.

it seems that everything else is working. if i use the reject button in the back or move the tonearm to the center of the platter, it rejects and gets another record. i can hear a click to the right of the 3 amp fuses which i am guessing is the problem. the click happens right after the selection is chose on the, for lack of a better word, big wheel in the right of the cabinet. i can see the selection being made, a plastic lever drops and then the click and then nothing.

also, i tested the two 3 amp and one 5 amp fuses with success.

any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

Jason,
Sue your "professional movers" as they are NOT "professional"!
Any "pro" would know not to move any type of record player without properly "bolting it down" for shipment.
In the case of a "RockOla", one of the things that should have been done is to remove the turntable (TT).
You probably can still do this by lifting the whole TT straight up---
Once done you will see that there is an "idler wheel" that runs along the inside of the TT. Just replace the TT, and use your "finger" to push the idler wheel to the "center" so that the TT sits down with the idler INSIDE--and it should now work----
OR--if you are located within my area, you can pay me to come do that---
