Shipping Across The Country

by acoleman » Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:07 pm

Does anyone have a suggestion for a shipping company to get a console phonograph (150 lbs?) from the midwest to the west coast? I called several "moving" companies to see if it could be "blanket wrapped" and dropped off near me (I could get it to my house myself), but none of the people I spoke to were helpful.

Thanks.

Andy

Many thanks for both suggestions.

I'm new to PhonoLand, and I appreciate the help.

Greyhound is good for smaller items that weigh less. I've received several "large" radios, like chairsides, that are too big to be shipped Fed-Ex. If packed properly, Greyhound is fine.

I'll call North American Van Lines this morning.
