Elac 760 Troubleshooting Output

I'm working on some repairs to an Elac Miracord 760 for a friend who recently purchased it from an estate. It will need a new idler and general clean up and lube. However, I am not getting any sound output from it. The cart tests ok when swapped in another unit, and I have cleaned the headshell contacts. I can't find any loose or missing connections, RCA cables are good, etc. What am I missing?

Even with a slightly dull idler, all other functions work perfectly, and I'm hoping I can get this figured out! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Does an ohm meter show continuity through from the headshell to the rca plugs?

Thanks for the response. I've had a chance to do some more investigating, and I think I have determined the issue. When the headshell is removed, I can see that the plastic bridge that contains the receiving contacts for the headshell is cracked. I think that when the headshell is inserted, the contacts aren't connecting properly because of this. However, I'm not sure there is anything I can do to repair this issue aside from installing a new tonearm.

Also check the muting switch and its mechanical linkages.
