Vacuum Tubes

by Las Vegas Jukebox » Mon Mar 31, 2014 12:35 am

I have a Wurly Amp Mod.543 and one of the 7199 tubes has tested bad. I have been looking for a replacement, but they are hard to find and expensive. I have been told that a common 6GH8A tube can be used as a replacement, when used with an adapter to change the pin configuration.
Has anyone got any experience, or thoughts on this substitution?
Regards
Keith

Hi Keith,
I've done it a few times--it's a PIA simply because of the limited space in the amp--
Don't remember which tube I used--had to change three connections to the tube socket--
"Google it",--that's how I found the tube and info--
