For an acoustic piano recording done in 1922 -- http://www.discogs.com/Zez-Confrey-Henr ... se/5150405 -- that sounds absolutely fantastic! The Edison horn recording process--coupled with the fine vertical cut groove (and precision diamond playback stylus), really captured the piano's upper and the mid-range.

Very nice tonal balance, and minimal surface noise. You're really making progress with your diaphragms.

Thanks. It's a nice record, and as Edison believed the piano is the true test of authentic reproduction.
I've still a way to go, but getting closer.
