rebuilt selection receiver, including pulse amplifier, New 2050 and new 12AX7, good 6x4 and Oa2's still scans twice and stops.
Followed the test sequences in service manual but it is not responding correctly. I did get the mech to trip when i connected A to B

Weird thing when i do the battery test to load the tormat it still won't stop and pickup.

I did discover that i still have old electro caps inside the motor controller unit
mounted in the bottom inside front of cabinet.

I dont have a schematic (yet) so im wondering how much of a role that motor controller plays in the selection process?

Why are there 6L6-G's and another 5U4-G mounted on this unit

Tony?????????

thanks

Try cleaning the tormat contacts, contact block contacts, and detent timing switch. Check detent timing switch adjustment

Hi,

Sound advice Tony,

Why does everyone always feel the need to start replacing components or do a rewiring job, rather than just look for the simple sraight forward solution.

Those are normally audio power amplifier tubes and a rectifier.

Maybe they are using them for pulses, or for driving motors or solenoids.
