Seeburg 100B - Is this normal?

I was over at a friend's house last night, checking out his "new to him" 100B. One thing I noticed, tho, that after it finishes playing the last selection, it doesn't put the record all the way back. It's left in limbo between the mech and the rack. As soon as you make another selection, the record then gets put completely away into the rack and the mech starts scanning for the new selection. Is this how that style Seeburg behaves or is there something else going on?

I know with my 100R once the last selection plays, the tone arm will retract and unclamp the record from the turntable but not put it back into the rack.
This is a normal process.

I did RTFM, as why I said this is a normal process.
Once the last selection is played, the momentum of the motor will continue through some of the transfer process, usually will get to where the clamp arm releases the record but not as far as the clutch moving out of transfer position.

Are we over reacting to what may be an innocent question from a potential future board patron?
If he was at his friend's house looking at a jukebox he does not own, why would he have a manual to read? No way to know if his friend has a manual to read.
