HELP! Need help fixing Seeburg LPC 480

by Leviton7140 » Thu May 08, 2014 1:05 am

A friend of mine gave me a Seeburg LPC 480 and said that it used to work, but now when you make a selection, it doesn't go and pick up the record. Forgive me if I don't quite know the terminology of the parts yet. I plan on getting a manual to familiarize myself with how the unit works. The motor is turning and the part that holds the record against the motor, opens and closes, but it doesn't grab the 45. If anyone can offer some suggestions on how to fix this, test any of the parts that may be causing this, or any other helpful suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your help and patience.

as well as the shop manual get "Ron Riches Seeburg mechinisim guide. Read both books as you were in school again and the teacher was going to give you a test on them. The 480 was the most complex juke Seeburg put out in that time period so as the saying goes "Knowledge is power" Good luck with your Juke. One other note. Do not operate this juke until you have read and understand both books mentioned.

Wise words vaguy2222!

Read and read again is the only way for it all to sink in.
