by adfokker » Tue May 12, 2015 2:08 am

hi everybody, I bought a rockola 408 in ok minus condition of course not working ,,after a lot of work now I can make a selection and the record magazine turns (before was dead problem was a micro switch broken ) now the problem I have and I'll like to know if somebody can point me in the right direction is that after the selection/s are made magazine turns around for like 2/3 turns and nothing happened , there's no power goin to the griper motor or the wiper arm contacts and circuit disk,,, I 'm just running out of ideas ,,,my idea is that could be the control box relays ,but I can see them moving when a selection is made ...did somebody had a similar problem ?I'll really appreciate any ideas to point me in the right direction ,thanks,

"seeing the relays moving", does not tell you if the contacts are truly "making"--read above "how to clean contacts"--

Hi
Have all the fuses been checked? , when you make a selection does the machine actually move a selection lever into place, does the magazine stop at that selection?

thanks for all your replies ,,I found the problem ,,when I replaced the micro switch that was broken one in the middle when I putted all back the other micro switches were not in contact with the cam that actuate them ,,that's why after a selection was made nothing was happening
after adjusting the remaining contacts everything started to work perfect ,,I tried to upload a pic but it's to large ..anyway thanks to you all for the tips and advice
