Foam Covers for Stereo Speakers

by airwave48 » Mon Jun 09, 2008 4:01 am

I have a 1976 Soundesign am/fm stereo receiver with 8-track tape player, model #4411, in excellent condition. The speakers are in excellent condition except for the foam covering over the speakers. This material has just turned to dust over the years. I am trying to find out where I might be able to get a set of new coverings for my speakers. Thanks for the help. Ray. smllrymnd@yahoo.com

I don't think you will be able to find the originals. because all of them have probably had the same thing happen to them. Nobody was thinking about longevity.

I did a Google search for "foam speaker covers" and found many results. Since most of those were designed to be acoustically transparent, but hide the works, most of them should work.
