'opening up' the TPA2

hey gang! i'm back on to my LPC project. how do i remove the TPA2's from the TCC?

i removed the screw with the big arrow pointing to it... i briefly tried some pliers on the retaining clips to the chassis, but my tool is not quite right. and i'm just not sure... there's nothing in my service manual about dealing with the TPA2's that i've seen.

i figured i'd replace the paper caps and maybe the ceramics if i have them.

cheers,
eric

Eric, to remove the PA, remove the screw near the tube socket, grab it be the boxy end and just pull it straight away from the main chassis. You can pry a little bit w/screwdriver at each end, but don't tilt the unit too much for risk of damaging the socket underneath.

The only cap I've replaced in those units is the 0.5 (use 0.47) and check the plate resistors on pins 1&6. The 5.6 meg is prone to rising in value.

Eric,
I have also found other resistors within the TPA's, to "drift"--I check all of them when I do a rebuild--!
