SMC1 playing random selections

This SMC1 will play a random song every so often if I leave it unattended, but I can't find anything in the manual about random selections. Where should look into for this? Or should I just leave it alone and accept it as an "undocumented feature"?

Hi Don,
If you can "live with it", leave it "alone"---the original, and successor MCU's used in the SMC models, are a "nightmare" to repair, and keep running ! I quit working on them long about 1983-- But I have collaborated, with a couple other people, and now I am the exclusive builder of the new, Gen 2, replacement MCU for SMC and100-79M, series, model, Seeburgs. The new one works perfectly, and has added features. PM me if you wish to purchase one. Ron Rich

Actually Ron, because I'm a curious person by nature I opened the MCU box and it has 1 board with your name and address on it. I assume I got lucky with this time  . So I saw the features listed in another post of yours, and at the risk of asking too much would it possible to get like a set of instructions for the new one? Again, thanks for your help!

Hi Don,
Yep--I would classify you as "lucky" --
Your "problem" is that the "autoplay" is turned,"on"-- no problem, just turn it off--
To do so, put the service switch in the "service position", HOLD the "credit switch" on, press 5, on the keyboard. Let the credit button relax, press zero, to turn it off ( or number of minutes between autoplay, you want). Put service switch back in "normal mode".
The "user service manual" is available on line at the site shown on the board. If you still want a hard-copy, PM me with your address--
