M100C Selection Issue

by Pounders » Thu Jan 16, 2014 1:51 am

All,

I like this forum and have learned alot. I also apologize if this particular problem has been discussed elsewhere, though I have looked for two days without luck.

I recently purchased an M100C that was in fairly good working order. I have been working my way in and around the unit and have been able to fix most of the issues that the box had, save one. For some reason there are two selections that do not work properly A7 and A9. I have not had issues with any other selections, but when those are chosen, they do not play. Everything "clicks" like every other selection and sounds like the pin has been moved, but the pins never move. I can slide them the pins easily by moving them with my finger manually, so they are not stuck and the A, 7 and 9 buttons work fine for other selections. This one has me stumped. Has anyone else out there run into this?

Mark,
Seeing as they are adjoining pins, I would first suspect the grounding plate's, "fingers", for those pins, are not "making". If that's not it, see if the coils are burnt/disconnected --
