Finch & Harrington (automatics) UK

by Psychman » Mon Aug 04, 2014 3:01 pm

Hi Guys,

This is a question for the UK members, does anyone have any information about "Finch and Harrington (automatics)" ? They seem have operated jukeboxes since the 60s and were based in Ipswich, they went bust some time ago.

It appears my Jukebox was originally in service there. I cant find any info online about such a company, but wondered if anyone here knew anything from their engineer days.

Somewhat of a long shot, but I'm interested in the history of this machine so thought I'd throw it out there!

Hi Adam,

if not done yet, subscribing to and posting this issue in the BJO forum (=British jukebox owners) might be helpful.
Of course there are not only British user, but probably most of them are. And some are in jukebox business for a long time already.

Hello Adam,

Welcome to the forum.
I have not heard of Finch & Harringham, I did a search when I first saw your post but I could not find any information regarding that company.

What jukebox do you own? it may stir some memories with some of us old timers.

Regards
Alan

I found Fich & Harrington Automatics in Ipswich and in London.

Ipswich: http://www.checksure.biz/company/FINCH+ ... 657004.htm
It gives only address details, for more information one has to pay. But it's an online credit service, so probably not worth ...

London: Company dissolved now, registered in 1960:

Sorry for the incredibly late reply, Im not sure why I missed this originally. I was just wondering if any new info or pictures of the original location had popped up online and I found this thread!!

To answer your question AMI-MAN, its a Rockola 442 I have. Other than the info posted, no further details except the jukebox remained in the ipswitch area for quite some time before it moved to Hampshire.
