Wow! That is a beautiful piece of equipment. It is going to be hard not to collect these things. Anyone else have one in every room?

Quite an impressive piece of furniture! I do have an older tube model console out in the garage (still unpacking into my new house) which I'll have to check out when I get my work room set up.
As far as one in every room, this is the house of Astro-Sonics...two huge consoles in the living room (with the 9-foot Concert Grand piano), two consoles in the dining/kitchen area, another huge one in the family room, and one in each of the four bedrooms...they are beautiful and sound great. That doesn't include the Montgomery Ward, Zenith, GE, Fisher and some other miscellaneous consoles still stacked in the garage. Oh, don't forget the Sansui, Marantz, Technics, Pioneer turntables, amps, tuners, cassettes and reel-to-reel-decks.
I'm about ready for a huge yard sale or a 12-step program....LOL

Sounds like you need some kind of program, Bobby. If you find one let me know, I need it too. I looked over a bunch of old consoles Wednesday, but they didn't meet my criteria. Mostly Sears and a Zenith, but they were either very late 60's or 70's. Too plastic-y. So I stayed out of trouble and didn't buy one. I did overindulge my record habit though. I seriously have to stop.

Motorola made some nice high-end consoles like this. Their weakest link is probably the V-M changer, which works very well but is a low-priced unit that is not really consistent with the quality of the electronics they used in models like this.
