I just bought an AMI F120 at a garage sale and I am replacing the brittle wiring as needed.

I am desparately in need of some help...

Please bear with me as I do not know the proper teminology.

There is four pronged male plug that is up in the top inside of the box that runs to the down the side of the box to fuse box on the bottom left inside behind the door into another 4 pronged female plug.

I forgot to write the sequence down in regards to where 1,2,3 & 4 top plug feeds into 1,2,3 or 4 of the bottom plug... :(

After a frusterating evening last night, does anyone have the info as to what number goes to what number?

Hope this makes sense.

ANY help is very appreciated!!

Thanks!

The way see it, is that you have two options. One being that you purchase a copy of the service manual, and attempt to sort it out using the wiring diagrahm. Doing this will help you to inform yourself of the proper terminolgy, thus making it easier for someone else to help you. Two, that you find someone who has an identicle production model (AMi F120, real close serial numbers), and send photos back and forth.

Buy a multimeter or a continuity tester. With the power cord unplugged, unplug the cable, and measure continuity from pins on one end to the pins on the other end. A reading indicates the pins are connected together. If using a multimeter, use the lowest ohms scale.

Thanks for the tips guys! I appreciate the help.

I have ordered an F120 manual and will be picking up an Continuity Tester to try that route before the manual arrives.

I can't wait to get it going again.

My wife and I already gathering 45's :)

Thanks again!

So far thanks to a nice guy on another forum who sent me a schematic, I have been able to rewire the AC line into the junction box. The only problem now, is that when I turn it on, the turn table is spinning and the cancel and selection buttons dont work. (I triple-checked the wiring and it should be correct.)

It all worked before I redid the wiring.

I read that it may be due to dirty contacts..or ?

What is the best way to clean them and which ones to clean?

Anyone have any other suggestions?

thanks in advance!
