Doghouse: In addition to the other things mentioned to secure, tape the ends of the fluorescent tubes or remove them, and take a good look at how the slug rejector is secured. When I transported my 442, that thing fell during the trip. Probably didn't hurt anything, but it made a loud bang and gave me something to worry about for the next few hours til we got it home. I've moved all my Rockolas on their backs successfully. I looked at a Seeburg once (did not buy) and was advised of several very good reasons why you'd not want to do that with them. But no problem with the Rockolas. Also, if it has records and the basket will turn, you can fix masking tape at the top and turn the basket all the way around a couple times. Keeps them nice and snug, and comes off the same way. Doesn't leave you with unsleeved records grinding against each other in a box on the way home. Just don't tape over the wire labels. If the basket will not turn, you can loosen its motor to disengage the gear, then do this by hand or simply remove them.

Thanks for that Patrick, I'm sure the information will be of interest to others wanting to move a jukebox, but this is an old thread and I successfully moved mine, nearly six years ago!
