Checked fuses,plunger,contacts.
Box takes a selection but the carriage doesn't move at all.
Doesn't move with scan switch.Nothing moves.
Checked reverse switch.Seems OK,but is against the right end and should start to go to left.Hmmm
Contacts in control operate as does the solinoid when I hit the scan switch

It would be my guess that either you are not getting 117 vac thru the "system" to the motor, for one reason or another (see the schematic in the service manual). First thing I would look at if it "just stopped", would be the reversing switch contacts--with the power OFF! Next would be the scan control, 117 vac switch--is the .01 cap still soldered to it ?
When "missing" those switch contacts tend to "burn/pit", preventing a good contact there--

Hey Ron, Thanks for the reply
Should have started this thread with a little history.
I just got this machine last week and it was most likely sitting up for a few years. So it's doa with a faint heartbeat.
It did come with a service/troubleshooting manuel, but no schematics.I'll order them in the morning.
Is this capacitor at the scan control switch?
Also, where would a person find the electrical schematics for this machine?
Many Thanks

Schematics are in the Service Manual--see above post "--where to find--"
Don't know what you are calling the "scan control switch" ??? ( don't think we are on the "same track")-

-Cap is ( or should be !) located on the play control ( AC motor on/off) contacts in the SCC.

I was talking "service switch"
Caps look good ,but I'm sure they can be dried out.
Where does a person by these cap (kits?)
Got a operating and trouble shooting manuel.
Ordered the "service" manuel for the schematics.
We're on a roll...........
