RCA Victor J2-20

Hello, I have recently found a portable phonograph in storage in my house. Turns out it belonged to my Dad's Uncle. I am now interested in finding out some information and collecting some records and other things. I can't seem to find out anything about it on the interenet, thought maybe someone here would know something. It is portable, looks like a small suitcase when closed up. On the inside of the lid it says RCA Victor J2-20. Does anyone know what time period this would be from? It has a hand crank. Also, any idea how much something like this is worth? (I don't plan to sell it, but just wondered. I know they aren't worth much, which is a little surprising)
