Rca victor radio model T5-1 tombstone radio

I have this radio idk much about it. I've searched google all over and never found anything . The radio is a tombstone rca T5-1 radio with 80 watts and 60 cycles serial number is 127.

The T5 was made around 1935.

If not done, it's mandatory to have it restored before any use, or unobtainable parts can be damaged, rendering it junk.

Ok thanks yeah it doesn't work I think the capacitors are shot and at some point I think there were mice chewing on the wires. I did plug it when I first got it the tubes did come on but then it went to a loud humming noise and I tried turning the volume down but nothing. so since then I took out all the tubes and cleaned out all the tubes and left it sitting in my closet. Do you know how much a restoration on this radio could cost? Thanks probably a lot I'm guessing since the campacitors are shot thanks.

Proper restoration is a lot more than the "capacitors" topic that's been all the rage on the internet.
Resistors age too, and go out of tolerance.
Corrosion contaminates switches controls and parts.
Mechanical assemblies need cleaning and relubing.
Dryrotted wiring needs replacing.
Tubes should be tested and replaced as needed.
A full alignment is in order to maximize sensitivity.

Yes, it's an expensive but one-time investment.

Restoring in my own opinion i don't think it is I paid only $30.00 for the radio. So I still think it was worth the investment. But thank you so much for your advice man

mateck is not a guy you want take serious . Depending on the mouse damage would set the price . If that radio came into my shop , i would give 3 estimates . One to make it just play . 2 would be to make it play and be able to use it as desired . 3 would be with the cabinet cleaned up or refinised too . You need to look at the value of the radio by searching ebay at ended sales of the same model to get an idea .
What you spend is up to you in the end . A good idea should be around 100 - 200$ on a radio like that .
