If it's of any help, I've used the iPod adapter successfully with a Rock-ola 500 Phonette.

Hi
I think the 500 to 504 are basically the same except for the number of selections, what code are using for your playlist in itunes, i can get all of my rockola 507 to work but the 504 won't, and the wallbox will work with a receiver and vinyle machine

So that we're sure that we're referencing the same product, this is the pdf link:
http://www.cdadapter.com/download/wipod.pdf

I'm currently using the adapter on a Seeburg 3W100 but I used it to test my Rock-ola 500 (160 selections).
As I recall,I named a 160 selection playlist as WB0 and the 500 selected all 160 selections accurately.

I did a bit of research and the 504 looks to be a 100 selection wallbox.

You might try WB3 or WB8 as playlist titles as these are for 100 selections albeit for a Seeburg and Wurlitzer respectively.

Ed Fischer (Data Sync Engineering) (908) 362-6299 is the creator of this so he might be able to help.
The website http://www.cdadapter.com/ has an email link too.

Hi
Yes its the same product, i was using WB0H, the H to account for the difference in 60 to 50 Hz, although i notice that my wallbox is 50 hz so it may not work correctly where i live, thanks for your help, i may keep the 504 for connecting to a vinyl machine seems to work ok with that

WB0H would be a code/title for a Rock-ola 160 or 200 selection wallbox.
See what happens when you use WB3H or WB8H. At the worst, it won't work. At best....:)

Cheers from Canada!

Thanks Cutter, you were spot on, the code for the seeburg "WB3H" worked, i presume thats why alot of seeburg wall boxes could be used on rockola machines and steppers, i will definitely sleep soundly tonight!

For anyone else buying adapters from Datasync.
When you buy the adapter, they'll send you the code you need if you tell them whether you're on 50 or 60 cycles.
I think the wall boxes that work with these adapters aren't always listed on their site.
When I bought mine a year ago, Rock-Ola 507 wasn't listed, but an e-mail to them got me a response to tell me it would work here in the UK and the code I needed. It's been trouble free ever since and I use it with two different 507s, which gives me a choice of 320 selections.

Hi All,
Sometimes, my friend, Mr. Grumpy, needs some "prodding"--I know when we were developing the Seeburg SMC Gen 2 MCU's, he "needed" quite a bit--and I sure "gave him" some -- Ron Rich

Yes they did give me the code WB0H for the rockola 504, but it won't work with it and as Cutter says its for a 160 selection box and mine is a 100 selection, luckily the seeburg code works, i have let the company know, i know what you mean by "prodding". But they are a great gadget, i have set one up using the shell of a seeburg discotechque jukebox which was in too poor a state internally to do anything with, but the cabinet was too good to dump, i incorporated the wall box keyboard into the keyboard section and the remains of the wallbox inside the machine,

Hi All,
I ab-so-luly, did not mean to imply, nor infer, that Mr. Grumpy, made anything but superior products!!
(Just "prodding him"--aka "pulling his chain"--as I know I'll hear about it, AND HOW !,--sooner or later   )
I build and proudly sell the Seeburg Gen 2 MCU. I also proudly sell all of Data Sync's products--as well as other stuff, made by others, that I consider to be "the best"--and only "the best". If I won't use it mysellf, I won't sell it... Ron Rich

I think the Datasync adapter is a great product! I use it with a Seeburg 3W100 and rather than play just individual mp3 files, I make compilations of a number of songs that will make up a large mp3 file. That way you get more than 100 song selections. In someways it's better than a 100 selection juke because a 100 selection probably really only is 50 selections of "A" sides. It also takes up less room than a juke if your basement space challenged. The only hitch is that my wife has been wondering where her iPod went.

The Datasync adapter got me into wallboxes which led me to getting my Rock-ola 500 to work with a stepper and my Rhapsody II which let to me buying a Wurlitzer 1100...all because I happened upon the adapter somehow.
