Wallbox repair and restoration

by gilpo » Fri Jan 08, 2016 1:15 am

Hi,
I just purchased a Wurlitzer 5204 wallbox to go with my Wurlitzer 1500 jukebox. The postal service did a number on it and completely smashed the front to pieces. The entire front bezel is one complete piece of plastic so it's not just a matter of replacing a piece of curved plexi or glass. Anyone know where I might be able to find a replacement or someone who could fabricate and paint a new one?

I'm not sure what I'm going to do about filing an insurance claim as I'm sure they will want me to surrender what's left and I don't want to do that. If I do I'm all but certain they will just junk it. Anyone with experience here?

Thanks,
Matt

IMHO, usually when the shipping co,s gorilla (makes no difference which company--they all use the same gorilla !) does something like that to a wallbox, it will never again be reliable-- I would, iffin it were me, contact the legit sellers of used parts, listed above, and order a new one-- take what ever the USPS gives you and chalk it up to luck-- Ron Rich
