Someone has kitbashed this to keep it usable. The record changer and its mounting board have been replaced.

The radio console is from the late 1940s or early 1950s. The record changer is from the mid 1960s.

The record changer for this unit should be either a Webster-Chicago 46, 56, 156, 246, 256 ,356, or possibly an Admiral RC-200. The record changer was probably changed so that LP, 45, and stereo records could be played without damage.

The clues:
- The radio has short wave instead of FM. FM replaced short wave on console radios in the early 1950s.
- The style of the dial is 1940s.
- The spindle on the record changer is the one with the pusher lever, rather than the earlier pushrod one.
- That arm is from the mid 1960s.
- That needle design is a stereo design, from the 1960s.

The original record changer probably looked similar to this one. It is a Webster-Chicago 356 - the first 3-speed 3-size record changer. The 256, 156, and 56 look like it, minus the speed control and 7" shelf extension adaptor.
