Eric,
Probably correct about the Amp number--Same pot used in both--see if there is a part number on it---
I do not have one I can measure around here at the moment-- Ron Rich

Eric,
That is the correct part number for a SHFA-3 or -4 amp (BTW--book shows it as a 1 meg, not "100k" as I wrote earlier) pot.
The correct one for a -1 or -2 is shown as 25 k per section. I wonder if whomever installed that pot also compensated for it in the VC circuit ?

I went ahead and bought the correct one off ebay, apparently from Vern Tisdale, I doubt any modifications were made to the circuit, nothing appears to have been touched in that area (other than hacking a hole in the chassis).

I plugged it in again last night, one channel is still a bit fuzzy but it might be the old output tubes causing that, i'll have to switch the new ones in to that side and see how it sounds. I couldn't really crank it up either because people were sleeping.
I have about two or three more small caps and the filters to go, also all those green caps on the Bass control.
